Reko Study® is operated by Reko Apps Ltd (“we”, “us”). For all privacy questions, please contact us.
Scope
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the Reko Study website and services (currently GCSE Maths content, quizzes, games, and informational pages; with optional tutoring/premium services to be added).
1. What we collect
- Contact details: information you submit (e.g., name, email) via forms.
- Messages: the content of your enquiry and submission time.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser info, and basic event data (used for security, abuse prevention, and analytics).
- Cookies & similar tech: to remember preferences, enable features, measure usage, and (if consented) personalise advertising.
- Account/billing (future premium/tutoring): if you create an account or make a purchase, we’ll process registration and payment data to provide the service.
2. How we use your data (purposes & lawful bases)
- Provide and improve the site (quizzes, games, pages). Legitimate interests.
- Respond to enquiries you send us. Legitimate interests / Contract.
- Security & abuse prevention (e.g., rate limiting, fraud/spam prevention). Legitimate interests / Legal obligation.
- Analytics to understand usage and improve content. Consent in EEA/UK where required.
- Advertising (AdSense) to fund free resources. Consent for personalised ads where required; you can refuse via our cookie banner.
- Premium/Tutoring (if used) to register, authenticate, and bill you. Contract.
- Compliance with law or enforce our terms. Legal obligation / Legitimate interests.
3. Cookies & consent
We use essential cookies for core functionality and (subject to your choice) analytics and advertising cookies. On your first visit you’ll see our banner with options to Accept or Reject non‑essential cookies. You can change your preferences anytime on our Cookies page or via your browser settings.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

5. Analytics
We use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand usage of our site and improve learning tools. In regions where required, analytics runs only with your consent. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
6. Data storage, location & security
We host and store data using reputable providers (e.g., Google Firebase). Your data may be processed in the UK, EEA, US, or other locations where our processors operate. When data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are used (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). We apply technical and organisational measures to keep data secure.
7. Data sharing (processors)
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, under contract:

8. Retention
- Contact messages: up to 24 months from last interaction.
- Technical/security logs: typically 12–24 months unless needed longer for investigation.
- Account/billing data (when applicable): kept while your account is active and as required by tax/accounting laws.
We then delete or anonymise data.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR/EEA GDPR (where applicable) you have rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete data (in some cases)
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability (copy of your data)
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

10. Children’s privacy
Reko Study is an educational site. Children under 13 should use the site with a parent or teacher’s supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent. For paid tutoring, a parent/guardian should be the contracting party and primary contact.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or the law. We’ll post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
