GCSE Maths Practice: conditional-probability

Question 1 of 13

This question practices conditional probability. You must understand how removing an item from a set changes the sample space.

\( \begin{array}{l}\text{A bag contains 10 balls: 4 red, 3 green, and 3 blue.} \\ \text{One ball is drawn at random and not replaced.} \\ \text{What is the probability the second ball is blue, given the first was green?}\end{array} \)

Choose one option:

Always update the total number of items when one is removed. Check which items remain for your probability calculation.

Remember: P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B). After removing the first ball, the total reduces by one. Focus on the new sample space for the second event.
