1) Scope
This policy applies to paid services provided by Reko Study® (operated by Reko Apps Ltd), including one-to-one lessons, bundles, and any premium plans. It should be read alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2) Rescheduling & cancellations by students/parents
- You may reschedule a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
- No-shows (arriving 10+ minutes late without notice) are treated as a completed lesson and are not refundable.
3) Cancellations by Reko Study (tutor unavailability)
- If we cancel due to illness, emergency, or technical issues on our side, you can choose a free reschedule or a full refund for that session.
- For long-term changes (e.g., timetable shifts), we will offer reasonable alternatives or a pro-rata refund for any unused sessions you prefer not to take.
4) Lateness & technical issues
- If a student joins late, the lesson will usually finish at the scheduled end time.
- Where our technical fault significantly disrupts the session, we will reschedule the missed portion or offer a refund for the affected time.
- Where your connection/device prevents participation, normal charges may apply.
5) Bundles, packages & subscriptions
- Bundles: You can request a pro-rata refund on unused lessons. The refund is calculated as: bundle price minus the lessons already taken at the current pay-as-you-go rate, minus any applicable fees already incurred (e.g., platform processing fees where non-refundable).
- Subscriptions/premium plans: You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Future renewals stop; past periods aren’t refunded unless required by law.
6) 14-day cooling-off (UK consumers)
You have a legal right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of the contract (“cooling-off period”). If you ask us to start lessons during this period, you agree that sessions delivered are chargeable and will be deducted from any refund using the price logic above.
7) How to request a reschedule or refund
- Use the messaging method shown on your booking confirmation or contact us with your name, booking email, and session time.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank processing times vary by provider.
8) Exceptions & fairness
- Safeguarding: If we end a session due to safeguarding concerns or policy breaches, a refund may not be due.
- Force majeure: Neither party is liable for events outside reasonable control (e.g., outages, extreme weather).
- Promotions: Free or discounted sessions follow the terms stated in the promotion; non-cash benefits are usually non-refundable.
9) Payment issues & disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. If a chargeback is raised with your bank, we may provide evidence of attendance and policy terms to the payment processor.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this page to reflect service or legal changes. We’ll post updates here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
